Oil On Ice was one of the first films of the Internet age that showed what is possible with media when applied to create political awareness directed towards Congress. The film was provided to every member of the Senate and House prior to what became three votes to drill in the Arctic from 2005-2007 Each time constituents called and mailed their representatives demanding that the Arctic Wildlife Refuge not be drilled for oil and that we protect the largest Caribou herd in North America. Each congressional vote was defeated.
